Army National Guard members from 182nd Field Artillery Regiment, Olympia Armory, Detroit, Mich., now with Michigan’s Task Force Spartan work with the Forgotten Harvest of Royal Oak, Mich., Community Food Bank, Dec. 7, 2020. Each day the Task Force prepares 20 pallets weighing 1200lbs each of meal boxes for the local community. In addition during the Holidays the team participated in the Shinning Light Project, preparing 2000 boxes of special Holiday meals. The Food Bank warehouse delivers 138,000lbs of surplus food per day to local charities in metro Detroit. Since March, Task Force Spartan teams have supported food banks across Michigan, distributing more than 7 million pounds of food to local communities. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Master Sgt.
