Command Sgt. Maj Michael Perry, 1st Theater Sustainment Command’s senior enlisted advisor, prepares to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Jan. 6 2021. Perry elected to receive the vaccine to ensure readiness by protecting his health, the health of his family, our Soldiers, and our community in an effort to lower the risk associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Fort Knox has implemented a phased and coordinated strategy for administering COVID-19 vaccines to installation personnel in accordance with the DOD vaccination distribution prioritization, which is consistent with data-driven CDC guidance for national prioritization.
