PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 3, 2020) – Sailors watch as Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Anthony Similton directs the launch of a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter, attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 164 (Reinforced), 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, from the flight deck aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22). The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and 15th MEU are currently conducting at-sea training events in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.
