A Task Force Corsair, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade CH-47F Chinook flies over Logar province Aug. 13, 2012. The 82nd CAB supports more than 43,000 square miles of territory in eastern Afghanistan. U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officers 2 Pete Bjorkman of Wareham, Mass., and Robert Nickison of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, pilot the massive bird while U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Amed Bamba of Newark, N.J., U.S. Army Sgt. Carlos Whatley of Misawa Air Force Base, Japan, and U.S. Army William Rhodes of Shelbyville, Tenn., crew the helicopter. Company B 3-82, also known as the "Flippers," transport troops, fuel, and supplies both day and night.
