INDIAN OCEAN (Jan. 14, 2021) – U.S. Marines, assigned to Combat Cargo of the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), move a landing craft, air cushion propeller onto the starboard aircraft elevator aboard the ship. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are conducting operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
