Members from the professional staff of the House Armed Services Committee eat lunch with sailors and Marines aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5). The committee members were aboard to learn about the capabilities of Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit in meeting national security strategy objectives. Peleliu is underway conducting certification exercises with the amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) and the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20).
