Pfc. Mariusz Szymczak and Cpl. Marcin Wojcik, soldiers assigned to 2nd Platoon, Polish Contingent Maneuver Company, Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, make their way through a tough pass during a patrol along the administrative boundary line in Kosovo on Jan. 15, 2021. The Polish Contingent was forced to dismount their vehicles due to tough terrain and weather conditions. The soldiers hiked to a patrol point on foot while security was maintained around the vehicles. These patrols are conducted regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment for all people in Kosovo. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. Zachary M. Zippe)
