U.S. sailors with the visit, board, search and seizure team assigned to the guided missile cruiser USS Hue City (CG 66) board the Iranian-flagged dhow M/V Payam, Aug. 15, 2012, in the Arabian Sea. Hue City provided medical assistance, food, water and fuel to Payam after the vessel’s crew issued a distress call. Hue City was deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
