An aluminum welded piece holds radios inside of a light tactical all-terrain vehicle (MRZR) aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) in the Philippine Sea, Jan. 20, 2021. U.S. Navy Hull Technician 2nd Class Dawsen Forbes, a hull technician assigned to LHA 6, and a native of Denver, North Carolina, designed and welded the aluminum parts to fit inside the MRZR to help secure radios, laptops and extra equipment during training exercises and operations. The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit is operating aboard ships of the America Expeditionary Strike Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
