Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Perry, 1st Theater Sustainment Command’s senior enlisted advisor, receives the second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Feb. 3, 2021. By completing both shots in the series, Perry ensures readiness by protecting his health, the health of his family, our Soldiers, and our community in an effort to lower the risk associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It was a personal choice,” Perry said in regard to the reason he elected to receive the vaccine. “I did the research and I trust it. I trust our government, and ultimately it is an individual responsibility to each other while helping promote readiness throughout our ranks.”
Fort Knox will continue to implement the vaccine in accordance with the DOD vaccination distribution prioritization which is consistent with data-driven CDC guidance for national prioritization. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Godot Galgano)
