A World War II memorial sites are located on islands throughout the Pacific and on mainland Korea. The memorial plaques and photos are dedicated to the Soldiers in the 40th Infantry Division who were killed in action defending the islands in the Pacific region. The plaques and photos are currently displayed within the 40th Infantry Division’s Headquarters Building located in Los Alamitos, California. (photo by Army Lt. Col. Cara J. Kupcho)
