Mayor Rick Allen, declared February 2021 as Army Nurse Corps Month in a proclamation honoring the corps 120th Anniversary on Feb. 2, during the Leesville City Council Meeting Jan. 25. Nurses from Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital were on hand to accept the honor and carry out the proclamation. The city recognizes the valuable contributions Army nurses provides to the Soldiers and their families making the Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk and the City of Leesville healthy places to live, work and play.
