The US Brig Niagara, the relief flagship for Oliver Hazard Perry in the Battle of Lake Erie in 1813, transits the Maumee River in Toledo during the Navy's commemoration of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812. The celebration coincides with Toledo Navy Week, one of 15 signature events planned across America in 2012. The weeklong event commemorates the Bicentennial of the War of 1812, hosting service members from the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy.
