Italian Army soldiers assigned to the 66th Airmobile Infantry Regiment "Trieste", conduct training at Caserma Ederle Vicenza, Italy Feb. 3, 2021. The Soldiers practice marksmanship in the Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) under Covid-19 prevention condition. The EST provides Soldiers with the opportunity to increase their marksmanship proficiency on a wide array of dismounted and crew served weapons systems with virtual fire scenarios and pop-up targets. The Italian Armed Forces develop military-to-military relationships with the U.S. Army, provide advice on military operations, and assist the Armed Forces with bilateral programs to help modernize systems in order to improve interoperability within NATO.
