Congressman Gregory Murphy, North Carolina’s third district representative, delivers a speech to the graduating students of the Corporal’s Leadership Course during a ceremony held at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina, Feb. 12, 2021. Murphy’s primary reason for visiting the air station was to engage with Marines graduating from the air station’s Corporal’s Leadership Course. However, while at MCAS Cherry Point, Murphy also met with air station leaders, received updates on ongoing and planned military construction projects, and got an up-close look at the COVID-19 vaccination process at the Navy Health Clinic Cherry Point. Murphy saw progress at the sites for the F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Hangar (P-199) and F-35 Training Simulator Facility, which are both projected to be complete in 2022.
