Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA - Pacific Fleet Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FIVE (NMCB 5) with an attachment of Marines from Marine Wing Support Squadron 372 (MWSS-372), supported by the 30th Civil Engineer Squadron (30th CES), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Flight, conduct Joint Expeditionary Airfield Damage Repair. 30th CES performed live demolition of the runway prior to Seabees and Marines executing repairs as part of Exercise TURNING POINT. TURNING POINT is a Major Combat Operations readiness generation exercise for the Pacific Naval Construction Force (PACNCF) designed to support and enable fleet maneuver and logistics.
