The 19th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black, tours 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego, Ca, Feb. 11, 2021. The Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps conducted the visit to speak to Marines, especially those that work on the newest Marine aviation platform, the F-35. The mission of 3rd MAW, as the senior Marine aviation command and control agency for the Marine Expeditionary Force, develops, directs and assesses air operation in the execution of the six functions of Marine aviation.
