SOUTH CHINA SEA (Feb. 10, 2021) U.S. Navy Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Arun Easter, from San Diego, observes a replenishment-at-sea between the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Yukon (T-AO 202) and the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) Feb. 10, 2021. The Theodore Roosevelt and Nimitz Carrier Strike Groups are conducting dual-carrier operations during their deployments to the 7th Fleet area of operations. As the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed fleet, 7th Fleet routinely operates and interacts with 35 maritime nations while conducting missions to preserve and protect a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
