James Schueler was barely out of high school when he was drafted to go to Vietnam. During his tour, he worked as a welder, helping to build National Highway 1, and to repair and upgrade vehicles and equipment damaged by the Viet Cong. Today, Schueler, the uncle of Army Materiel Command’s Col. John Motszko, is a 71-year-old Vietnam veteran who is being recognized for his service through AMC’s Vietnam Veterans Commemoration Program.
