Andrew Miller, commodore for Submarine Squadron (SUBRON) FOUR, right, presents the Engineering 'E' award to the crew of the Virginia-class submarine USS Colorado (SSN 788), represented by the boat’s engineering officer Lt. Cmdr. Paul Gale onboard Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, Conn., Feb. 17. The Engineering 'E' award – based on a yearlong evaluation - recognizes units that attained the highest overall evaluation in combat readiness and engineering excellence for each squadron of the Submarine Force.
