A U.S. Marine with Marine Rotational Force-Europe 21.1, Marine Forces Europe and Africa, crawls out of freezing water during ice-breaking drills in Setermoen, Norway, Feb. 01, 2021. Marines participated in cold-weather training, led by Norwegian Army instructors, to enhance their extreme cold-weather survival skills and interoperability with allies and partners around the world. The Marines have practiced strict COVID-19 mitigation practices when interacting with those outside their unit as an extended precaution after their initial restriction of movement period.
