U.S. Marine Corps military working dog Pedro accompanies the security force from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) during an embassy reinforcement exercise on Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 6, 2021. Pedro is a patrol explosive detection dog and can be employed in many different types of missions. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Expeditionary Strike Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
