A U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle receives fuel from a KC-135 Stratotanker during a mission supporting Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve over the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, Feb. 9, 2021. The KC-135 delivers U.S. Air Forces Central a vital global reach aerial refueling capability to support joint and coalition aircraft throughout the U.S. CENTCOM area of responsibility. In conjunction with partner forces, CJTF-OIR defeats ISIS in designated areas of Iraq and Syria and sets conditions for follow-on operations to increase regional stability.
