U.S. Air Force, Japan Air Self-Defense Force, or Koku-Jieitai, and Royal Australian Air Force aircraft fly in formation during exercise Cope North 21, at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Feb. 9, 2021. Participants will also be exercising their agile combat employment concepts during exercise Cope North. This allows for more flexibility by operating more freely with U.S. allies and partners throughout the Indo-Pacific, whether that be in a contested environment or in a location without established infrastructure, such as during times of crisis or disaster response.
