Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Briana Helem, a paralegal deployed with the 310th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, said she wants Black History to be every month. “I don’t think of it as one month. To me, it is every month. I am always black, regardless.” Helem said she wants Black History to go beyond slavery and inventors, and teach about Black Wall Street and entrepreneurs, such at the first female African-American millionaire Madame C.J. Walker.
