The following graphic displays the latest hair regulations for women in the military as of Feb. 10, 2021. Female Airmen are able to wear their hair in up to two braids or a single ponytail as long as the bulk of the hair does not exceed width of the head and the hair length does not extend below the horizontal line depicted in the graphic running between the top of each sleeve inseam at the under arm through the shoulder blades.
