A military honor guard presents honors at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier for World War I at Arlington National Cemetery, on Armistice Day, November 11, 1922. New York Army National Guard Maj. Hamilton Fish, who served as commander of Company K, 369th Infantry Regiment during the war, nicknamed the “Harlem Hellfighters,” an all-black unit of the New York National Guard, was instrumental in creating the memorial.
