Crew aboard the USCGC Stone (WMSL 758) pass under the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge while preparing to return to their homeport in North Charleston, South Carolina, on March 1, 2021. Many of the deck crew eagerly contacted family and friends in the lull between setting the special sea detail and pulling into port. Many Stone family were apart for as long as five months between accepting the cutter and conducting the first patrol. The Stone is the ninth of the Coast Guard's National Security Cutters, the largest and most technologically advanced class of cutter in the Coast Guard’s fleet.
