U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 1st Class Rosemarie Spargur, an independent operations specialist assigned to the Coast Guard Air Station Savannah at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia, is from Painesville, Ohio. She graduated from Harvey High School in 2003. She earned her bachelor’s degree in sports management from Pensacola Christian College. “I’m really proud of our organization as a whole, saving lives and contributing to all our missions, from search and rescue to law enforcement. I joined the Coast Guard to make a difference and help people. Growing up with four brothers, I never really saw female limitations. I was always able to keep up with them. I kept the same mentality when I joined.” (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Daniel Thompson)
