Pfc. Katie Markel, a field radio operator with Communications Shop 38 and an Olathe, Kan., native, rides a wave on a surfboard at Pacific Beach in San Diego, Aug. 25. Markel as well as other Marines surfed and cliff-dove to film a DVD. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be given to Path International, a horseback riding therapy program for the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
