U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Tommy Ngirbedul, Jr., a radio operator with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), looks out over Orange Beach, the location that U.S. Soldiers of 81st U.S. Army Infantry Division landed during World War II on the Island of Peleliu in the Republic of Palau, March 3, 2021. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the Amphibious Squadron 11 in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
