U.S. Navy staff and students at the Center for Information Dominance Unit Corry Station, Fla., muster early in the morning in preparation for Tropical Storm Isaac Aug. 26, 2012. The students were directed to pack a sea bag for five days in the event of evacuation. The storm was expected to make landfall along the Gulf Coast the evening of Aug. 28, 2012. The last major storm to affect northwest Florida was Hurricane Dennis, a category-three hurricane, which made landfall near Pensacola July 10, 2005. Isaac developed as a tropical storm over the Western Atlantic Ocean Aug. 21, 2012, affecting Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Cuba before making landfall as a hurricane on the Gulf Coast of the United States.
