Lee Mills, JBER and 673d ABW command chief, does a neonatal resuscitation technique on a computer controlled newborn simulator during a 673d Inpatient Operations Squadron immersion at JBER, Alaska, Feb. 26, 2021. The simulator can measure the nurses’ response – measuring compression depth, compression rate, ventilation and other factors – providing valuable feedback. The tour familiarized base leadership with the 673d IPTS and its role in supporting readiness. The 673d IPTS provides a full range of medical care to include perinatal care, intensive care, and behavioral health services to JBER and the greater Anchorage area.
