Lt. Gen. Robert B. Brown, commanding general, I Corps, speaks before a crowd of friends, Family and soldiers as he welcomes Maj. Gen. Stephen R Lanza, commanding general, 7th Infantry Division, to Joint Base Lewis-McChord Wash., during the Honors Ceremony outside the corps headquarters building, Aug. 30.
Major Gen. Lanza recently relocated to JBLM and will assume command of the 7th Infantry Division when it is reactivated, Oct. 4. The division will provide oversight for personnel, equipment, training and readiness of three Stryker Brigade Combat Teams, a Combat Aviation Brigade and a Fires Brigade—totaling some 17,000 Soldiers, according to the I Corps Public Affairs Office.
