U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Seamos Clarke and Staff Sgt. Robert Wise of Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 469 perform preflight checks on a UH-1Y Huey helicopter prior to returning to Camp Leatherneck after executing operation Halberd V in Helmand province, Afghanistan on June 20, 2012. HMLA-469 provided aerial reconnaissance and security for the Marines of 3rd LAR during operation Halberd V to prevent the distribution of contraband in support of counter insurgency operations.
