Mine Countermeasures Ship USS Dextrous (MCM 13) approaches a fuel line deployed by Afloat Forward Staging Base (Interim) USS Ponce (AFSB(I) 15) during refueling operations. Ponce, formerly designated as an amphibious transport dock (LPD) ship, was converted and reclassified to fulfill a longstanding U.S. Central Command request for an Afloat Forward Staging Base Interim Ship to be located in its area of responsibility.
