Special Tactics Airmen march through Columbus, Texas, while local military supporters cheer and pay their respects during the 2015 Special Tactics Memorial Ruck March on, Oct. 5, 2015. Twenty Special Tactics Airmen are marching 812 miles from San Antonio, Texas, to Hurlburt Field Fla., in remembrance of their 19 fallen comrades since 9/11. This is the fourth Special Tactics memorial march since 2009, and only occurs during a year when a Special Tactics Airman is killed in action. Two-man teams will relay halfway across country with 50-pounds ruck sacks to bring awareness to the service and sacrifice of Special Tactics and the Gold Star families. This year's march honors all fallen, but specifically Capt. Matthew Roland, special tactics officer, and Staff Sgt. Forrest Sibley, combat controller, both killed in action Aug. 26, 2015.
