Cleveland native Lt. j.g. Joshua Hinshaw, gunnery officer of the U.S. Navy guided missile frigate USS DeWert (FFG-45), throws out the first pitch at Progressive Field prior to the Cleveland Indians Major League Baseball game with the Texas Rangers. The DeWert, docked in the Port of Cleveland, is among several ships visiting Cleveland and participating in the Navy’s commemoration of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 in Cleveland. The celebration coincides with Cleveland Navy Week, one of 15 signature events planned across America in 2012. The week-long event commemorates the Bicentennial of the War of 1812, hosting service members from the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy.
