Meet U.S. Army Spc. Alanna Maynard, a native of Cape Coral, Florida, and a water treatment specialist with 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) is currently working at the Wolstein Community Vaccination Center in Cleveland. Maynard joined the family business of serving in the Army right out of high school. “My grandfather, uncle, cousin and my dad all served in the Army before me,” she said. “I’m loving my time in the Army, I’m excited to continue my service as long as I can.” As a mother, Maynard says her son is what keeps her motivated. “Everything I do is for (him), I want to be the best that I can be for him,” she said. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
