Louisiana National Guardsman Staff Sgt. Gary Cheek, 1st Assault Battalion, 244th Aviation Regiment, Naval Branch Clinic, Belle Chasse personnel and Plaquemines Parish Emergency Management Services personnel and members of the Louisiana Army National Guard's 2nd Battalion, 135th Aviation Regiment bring a gurney to a UH-60 Black Hawk with the LANG's 2-135th General Support Aviation Battalion to transfer civilians that were medically evacuated from Port Sulphur, La., to Naval Air Station, Joint Reserve Base, New Orleans, Sept. 1, 2012. The LANG has more than 6,000 soldiers and airmen on duty supporting our citizens, local and state authorities by conducting Hurricane Isaac emergency operations.
