Army Sgt. Christian Grow, a combat medic assigned with the Michigan National Guard’s (MING) Task Force Red Lion COVID-19 Vaccination Testing Team, administers the vaccine to an Oakland County resident at a clinic at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan, March 20, 2021. During the clinic, Grow helped to save a nurse’s life when rushed over to give her the Heimlich maneuver when she started choking on her food. The MING was requested to help augment the Oakland County Health Division to administer the vaccine to county residents at a large clinic that vaccinated about 4,200 residents that day.
