Nicholas Dietz, an MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor crew chief, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 364, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, fires a GAU-21 .50 caliber machine gun, during a tail gunnery range shoot in support of Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course 2-21, near Imperial County, Calif., March 26, 2021. The WTI course is a seven-week training event hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One, providing standardized advanced tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine aviation training and readiness, and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
