Tech. Sgt. Nick Reddinger, left, and Tech. Sgt. John Butler, 2nd Air Support Operations Squadron tactical air control party specialists (TACPs) from U.S. Army Garrison Grafenwoehr, use digital communication equipment to send target information to an A-10 Thunderbolt II pilot here Sept. 5. The information sent is critical as it shares an enemy target's exact coordinates to the pilots overhead. The TACPs visited the base to assist the 81st Fighter Squadron with sharing close-air-support tactics, techniques and procedures with U.S. Army UH-72 Lacota helicopter pilots. The 81st FS shares and exchanges operating procedures with joint forces to ensure interoperability in future training exercises and contingency operations.
