Mario Whitaker, non-commissioned officer in charge of the brigade commander's Personal Security Detachment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, looks at the memorial picture of Staff Sgt. Donnie Dixon, a Whitaker's good friend and fellow Soldier, during the dedication of Dixon Square ceremony. The Dixon Square is an area for Soldiers to relax and have fun while serving in Diyala province, Iraq, and is a reminder of Dixon's service during Operation Iraqi Freedom 06-08.
