Soldiers from the 110th Chemical Battalion load vehicles onto rail cars as part of a deployment readiness exercise at the installation transition division here at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, April 13, 2021. Deployment Readiness Exercises allow commanders from company to corps levels to train their staff on the detailed planning and coordination required to move units overseas on a condensed timeline.
“The 110th Chemical Battalion is responding quite well to this exercise,” said 1st Lt. Jason Witherow, a CBRNE Response Team Leader with the battalion. “Now we’re just crossing our T’s and dotting our I’s. I’m very proud of our Soldiers and the work they have demonstrated thus far.”
