    U.S. Marines with Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, fire an M252 81mm Medium Weight Mortar near Okinawa, Japan, April 13, 2021. The infantry Marines supported an air and surface fire support integration training conducted by 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, Japanese soldiers with Fire Support Company, Field Artillery Battalion, Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade and 15th Brigade, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. The bilateral training focused on the ability of a multi-national combined force to provide air and surface fire support from advanced bases within the Indo-Pacific region.
