Katie Trotter gives a class on effective confrontation as part of the Our Community Listens (OCL) workshop to Airmen who are part of the Michigan Air National Guard (MIANG) at the Joint Forces Headquarters in Lansing, Michigan, April 12-14, 2021. The MIANG invests in Airmen by providing tangible skills to enhance communication which can lead to better relationships — both personally and professionally. These skills are valuable resources to assist military members before, during and after deployment. This unique partnership with Chapman Foundation for Caring Communities was the first application of OCL to pre-deployment preparation, serving as a template for other military bases to model.
