WICHITA, Kan. – Cadets from a Wichita-area Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program formulate a plan before competing in an obstacle course as part of the first annual Capt. Pitts Challenge, hosted by Wichita State University’s Army ROTC program Apr. 23. Wichita State ROTC is run entirely by Kansas Army National Guardsmen. More than 70 Army, Air Force and Marine JROTC cadets from the Wichita area participated in the event, designed to challenge participants with teambuilding, problem-solving and communication tasks.
