Capt. Amy Pajeau (left) and her husband, Staff Sgt. Benjamin Pajeau, are re-united after more than 15 months apart. The couple faced back-to-back deployments with Capt. Pajeau deploying prior to her husband, who returned Friday, April 30. About 165 Illinois Army National Guard Soldiers returned April 30 to Illinois after an 11-month deployment to Ukraine where the unit formed “Task Force Illini” as the command element of Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine, which is responsible for training, advising and mentoring the Ukrainian cadre at Combat Training Center-Yavoriv, Ukraine to improve Ukraine’s training capacity and defense capabilities. Headquarters Headquarters Company of the 33rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team flew into Willard Airport in Savoy, Illinois, where they were greeted by family.
