A U.S. Army Logistics Support Vessel anchored at Port of Durres, Durres, Albania, where U.S. Joint Forces , along with international partners and allies, execute Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore operations demonstrating the ability to move massive amounts of equipment and supplies quickly from ship to shore in order to support thousands of Troops in the field as they train to respond to any threat or crisis during DEFENDER-Europe 21 exercises across the European theater.
DEFENDER-Europe is an annual large-scale U.S. Army-led, multinational, joint exercise designed to build readiness and interoperability between U.S., NATO and partner militaries. This year, more than 28,000 multinational forces from 27 nations will conduct nearly simultaneous operations across more than 30 training areas in more than a dozen countries from the Baltics to the strategically important Balkans and Black Sea Region.
